Rumors that Samsung will unveil its new flagship smartphones with flexible screens in July or August have been around for a while.

Still, now we have a specific date for the Unpacked summer event — it will take place on August 3. That date is captured in a post by well-known insider Max Weinbach on Twitter. The tweet is encrypted. You can translate it this way “on August 3 will be released 2 triplets, as well as 2 quadruplets.

In the comments, users pretty quickly figured out what it was about: as the insider often leaks data about new Samsung devices, it is likely to be about the novelties of the Korean company, besides the beginning of August is the traditional time for the big event Unpacked.

The two triplets are the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3, and the quadruplets are the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 smartwatches, respectively.

However, the Galaxy Buds 2 wireless headphones may also be unveiled on this day — leaks about them also point to a fairly rapid announcement.

At the same time as Weinbach, another insider, John Prosser, named the timing of the appearance of new products on sale, because usually from the date of the announcement to the appearance of devices on the shelves will take more than a week.

So, according to Prosser’s sources, which he believes, the Galaxy Watch 4 will go on sale on August 11–8 days after the announcement. But the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will have to wait — they won’t go on sale until August 27.

Both Weinbach and Prosser are reliable informants. The former once “leaked” accurate data about the Samsung Galaxy S21, iPhone 12 Pro Max and Xiaomi Mi 11.

The second last month published an official video about Android 12 a few days before the premiere of the OS, and last year was the first to report the exact announcement dates of the iPhone SE 2020 and MacBook Pro 13.
