The U.S. has released an app that allows you to find a dog from a scanned nose. We are talking about the app “NoseID” from the brand “Iams”. It is necessary to scan the pet’s nose, and then the program will make it possible to find the puppy more easily if he is missing.

The application works in the following way: the owner creates a pet profile, specifies its parameters and scan of its nose. The thing is that a dog’s nose is unique, just like a human fingerprint.

Therefore, if a dog gets lost and is found by a person who also has an app on his smartphone, he will be able to determine from the nose scan who the animal belongs to and contact the owner.

“Every year 10 million pets go missing in the U.S., that’s 27,000 pets a day. Our latest work with @IAMS, NOSEiD scans a dog’s nose, which is as unique as a human fingerprint, so if an animal ever goes missing, all it will take is a quick scan to help it get home,” the app creators wrote on their Twitter.
