A new feature will make it easier to find local institutions and companies to visit the social network.

The social network Twitter is starting to test the so-called professional profiles used by business companies. The business profiles will appear the information about the company, which may be of interest to potential customers. It is reported by the edition Engadget.

The business page in Twitter will display the site address of the owner, the number of subscribers and subscriptions to the account. Also, the social network has added a new section — “Read more”, where you can read more information about the business company.

Twitter believes that the new type of profile will allow companies, nonprofits, publishers, creators and anyone else who uses Twitter for work to reflect the specific information they want to convey to potential customers. The new profiles could also make it easier for Twitter users to find local places to visit and help small stores recover business they may have lost during the pandemic.

According to Kayvon Bakepour of the social network, such innovations are just the beginning, as Twitter may allow business owners to add other types of information to a “professional” profile in the future. For now, Twitter is testing professional profiles for a small number of business owners in the U.S. and will extend access to this feature to more accounts in the coming months.

Recall that users of the social network Twitter view and post images with better resolution than before. From now on, Twitter will allow users to post photos in 4K format on iOS and Android.
