Why Is My Windows 10 Volume Is so Low

This could be a result of a number of factors, including low power settings or incorrect audio settings. You can try the following troubleshooting steps to see if they help increase the volume on your Windows 10 device:

1. Check your power settings. In Windows 10, you can find your power settings by going to Settings > System > Power & Sleep. Make sure that “Adjust plan brightness” is set to “Always on” and that “ Put the computer to sleep” is set to “Never”.

2. Open the Control Panel and go to Hardware and Sound > Sound > Playback tab. Under “Device Usage”, make sure that your preferred playback device (usually Speakers) is selected. If it’s not, click on it to select it and then click “Set Default”.

3. Double check your volume settings. In Windows 10, you can do this by clicking on the speaker icon in the taskbar and making sure that the volume slider is not all the way down. You can also try clicking on the “Mixer” link at the bottom of the window to open the volume mixer and make sure that your preferred playback device is not muted.

4. If you’re using headphones or external speakers, make sure they are properly plugged in and that the volume is turned up on them.

5. Update your audio drivers. You can usually do this through Device Manager. In Windows 10, you can access Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting “Device Manager” from the menu. Once in Device Manager, expand the “Sound, video and game controllers” category and right-click on your audio device. Select “Update Driver Software” from the menu and then follow the prompts to install any available updates.

If none of these troubleshooting steps help increase the volume on your Windows 10 device, you may need to contact your computer’s manufacturer for further assistance.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best,

James
