Xiaomi Told How Smartphones Will Be Charged in the Future
The company Xiaomi the day before announced several new advanced technologies and told when the technological breakthrough will be implemented. It will make smartphones even more advanced.
Xiaomi once again showed the HyperCharge technology, which charges the smartphone from a 200-watt adapter. Fully charging the test sample with a 4000 mA — h battery from 0 to 100% took only 8 minutes.
According to Xiaomi, such a high power supply does not harm the battery — for 800 cycles, it retains 80% of the nominal capacity (while the normal preservation of 60% of capacity after 400 cycles).
Xiaomi said that it uses an alloy of rhodium and ruthenium in the manufacture of USB-ports — this material has low resistance, so almost no heat, which increases the life of the charging connector, and is not subject to corrosion.
When the connector gets hot, a special sensor tells the charger to reduce the current or stop charging.
Xiaomi engineers also let it be known that next year there could be smartphones without a charging port. They will be able to charge from wireless adapters, including from a distance of several tens of centimeters or even meters.
Xiaomi already had prototypes of such smartphones and long-range wireless chargers, and in 2022 such gadgets could finally appear on the public market.
